Features of the stainless steel fasteners production
A study of the preparation technology of stainless steel for cold forging was carried out. Three versions of the technology for manufacture of hexagonal head bolts, made of stainless steels of austenitic and martensitic classes: without reducing the rod under the thread rolling, with single and double reduction, were studied. All three production options are applied in JSC BelZAN. Cooling lubricants for cold heading of stainless steel have been investigated.

Technology of anti-corrosion thermal diffusion galvanizing, providing the cold resistance of fasteners
The analysis of damage of the steel low-alloy fasteners shows that the use of an anticorrosive thermal diffusion zinc (TDZ) coating is a promising way to protect the metal. It is justified of its use. The authors have conducted tests on the basis of which TDZ can be considered as an universal coating, which provides not only anti-corrosion properties of fasteners, but also its cold resistance.

On the tasks and methods of increasing cold resistance and long-term strength of high-strength bolts of strength classes 10.9 and 12.9 for the northern and arctic regions
The possibility of increasing the cold resistance of high-strength bolts of strength classes 10.9 and 12.9 by introducing a margin of critical temperature relative to the value of T50, determined by the presence of 50% viscous component in the fracture of impact samples, is considered. The possibility of increasing the cold-resistance of steel by grinding grains of ferrite and replacing the plate-type martensite with a rack one is shown. In order to increase the cold resistance of bolted steels, it was proposed to introduce an additional criterion – the presence of a viscous component in the fracture of impact samples, the average proportion of which should be at least 30%. If this condition is not fulfilled, it is necessary to carry out a test for delayed brittle fracture (CRP) or corrosion crack resistance. The role of boron is noted both in increasing the hardenability of steel and in preventing hydrogen segregation along the ferrite grain boundaries. The high resistance of ЗХР steels of 20Х2НМТРБ type is due to the increase in the number of initiators of viscous microcracks-pits and the prevention of boron segregation along the grain boundaries of ferrite and pearlite colonies.

Thermal expansion of materials and adhesive bonding
The range of materials used in industry is constantly increasing, and glue is increasingly being used to connect dissimilar materials. Such heterogeneity due to different thermal expansion of the materials being joined can significantly affect the reliability and durability of the adhesive bond. Its assessment is complicated by the fact that it can be tested only on a full-sized adhesive joint. The solutions are proposed in order to avoid the loads, which are critical for the glue line due to various thermal expansion of the joint materials.
