Evaluation of corrosion resistance of zinc coatings and forecasting the service life of fasteners with hot-dip galvanizing
Evaluation of corrosion resistance and durability of fasteners with zinc and zinc-aluminum coating obtained by dip galvanizing is an integral part of the design of anti-corrosion protection of structures and technical facilities operated in an open atmosphere with various categories of environmental aggressiveness.
During the study of samples with a zinc coating alloyed with different aluminum content, the indicators, weight loss and corrosion rate of zinc and zinc-aluminum coatings on steel samples were determined, based on the method for calculating the coatings service life of NITU MISIS, a table was compiled for selecting a protective coating for warranty conditions for the products operation.

Fastening the subsystem and thermal insulation in the NFS: types of fasteners
The system of curtain wall ventilated façade consists of a subsystem in the form of a metal frame, a thermal insulation layer with a membrane and a facing screen. A separate type of fastener is used to install each of these structural elements.

Hidden fastener of sheet materials KL8 CRAB: invisible support for modern cladding
The KL8 CRAB hidden fastening system, designed for external and internal use with a wide range of sheet cladding materials when performing facade work is presented here. The development of this fastener began in 2017 after a detailed analysis of existing methods of hidden fasteners. Most of the existing foreign solutions are based on the use of either collet-type anchors or special self-tapping screws. The Russian creators have found a fundamentally different design solution. Hidden fastener KL8 CRAB is a composite product made of stamped corrosion-resistant steel, which has no analogues in the world.

Efficient lock washers
The article discusses the effectiveness of various types of lock washers. They can be divided into two groups based on their locking properties. The first group includes products that do not prevent a complete loss of tightening force, but protect the threaded connection from disintegration for some time. The second group includes washers that maintain a sufficiently high level of pre-tensioning force over a large number of vibration cycles.

Types of pipes and clamps for them. Freedom of choice
The main differences between pipes are related to the materials from which they are made. The properties of these materials determine the behavior of pipes under different conditions. According to this behavior of pipes, pipe materials and the throughput volume of the transported products, it is necessary to select fastening clamps.

Fasteners on marketplaces: what are their pitfalls?
The author in his report at the conference "Quality Fasteners — Reliability of Machines and Metal Structures", held on June 3, 2025 in Moscow, analyzed the current state of online trade in fasteners in Russia. In particular, he drew attention to the fact that the emergence of marketplaces has significantly changed the status and image of the seller — in the field of fasteners, they are represented not by a dozen main suppliers of products, but by about 5.5 thousand sellers who remain unknown to specialists in this field. At the same time, the practice of the rapid development of online trade shows that legislation throughout the world, including Russia, traditionally does not keep up with structural changes in the markets.
