Anchor production is developing in Russia
An interview with Vladislav Kozlov, CEO of VsV LLC, is provided. He shared the situation in production and the nearest development plans. Vladislav also commented on the situation with the quality of products in the anchor segment, drawing attention to the introduction of GOST R 72018-2025 "Mechanical anchors for fastening in concrete. General specifications" from July 1, 2025.
Review of technologies for forming permanent joints using plastic deformation methods
This is a modern technology review of permanent joint formation technologies by methods of plastic deformation of homogeneous and dissimilar materials for manufacturing functional parts or preliminary blanks. Traditional joining methods such as welding, soldering, gluing and joining by forming a mechanical fastener are often associated with a number of limitations, including thermal effects, changes in the design of materials and the need to use additional elements. In contrast, plastic deformation joints allow the creation of joints that are not subject to these disadvantages, while maintaining the integrity and properties of the materials being joined; forming a strong bond between them.
The processes analyzed in this article are based on controlled plastic deformation of materials at the joints, which leads to the formation of a strong and reliable joint. This approach is especially effective when joining dissimilar materials, where traditional methods may be either unattainable or ineffective. The developed processes allow the creation of connections with high performance characteristics, which open up new possibilities for the development and manufacture of products and structures in small-scale and serial production.
Threaded connection locking system "KAPKAN": domestic innovation in the fight against vibration loosening
The main limitations of threaded connections are given. Design solutions in bolted connection locking systems (sizes from M10 to M48), guaranteeing the reliability of modern equipment, must ensure compliance with a number of requirements established in the article. Information on traditional parking options is given. New locking systems based on microplastic deformation with their installation schemes are proposed.

Tolerance fields of metric threads for coating: practical aspects
The key parameter that ensures the possibility of screwing threaded connections before and after applying the coating is the tolerance field. The basic terms and designation of tolerances for metric thread sizes are provided. The solution to the main problem when applying a coating – how to prevent the actual diameter of the bolt from exceeding the nominal value – is described.
Fasteners for plaster facade systems: legal requirements and selection features
One of the most common solutions for facade insulation in our country is facade thermal insulation composite systems. Their durability, reliability and appearance are directly related to the quality of the fasteners used for thermal insulation. The fasteners of the specified systems with different building foundations are described: a driven dowel, spacers for solid and hollow foundations. Information on full-scale tests of fasteners for tearing is provided.
Increasing the load-bearing capacity of LVL Ultralam™ beams when used in Himtex structural screws
The article, along with historical facts, examines the features of LVL timber, HIMTEX self-tapping screws and the possibilities of their combined use. Traditionally, bolted connections are used to install structures made of glued laminated timber with the specified sections, but this is far from the most optimal solution.
Another solution is that threaded rods require pre-drilling and are stress concentrators, which causes the wood to collapse and lose load-bearing capacity. Currently, structural screws are actively used to strengthen and join LVL beams by thickness.
What is behind the reduction in fastener prices?
Engineering approach as a basis for business
The questions of the editor-in-chief were answered by S. A. Liberman, founder of the company Mir Khomutov. The successful development of the company was achieved thanks to the engineering approach. This approach implies strict compliance with technical requirements for products. This means constant maintenance of the quality level, which is certainly an important factor for the development of long-term relationships with clients.
